Rick Robinson was born and raise here in Oyster Bay. We are so lucky to have Rick living with us in Oyster Bay Manor. When Rick was 22 he signed up for the National Guard. He was not nervous to sign up and was looking forward to it. He said when the Berlin Crisis started that was when he became a bit worried. Rick was followed in his Uncle’s footsteps and that is why he joined the National Guard. He was in for 6 months and then moved to Chicago to become a teacher. Once back in Oyster Bay he worked for traveler’s insurance and also wrote a sports column for the Oyster Bay Guardian. Rick has been a staple in the town for years and we want to thank him for his service!
